For over a decade, Bastian has worked on decentralised water and wastewater treatment. He coordinated the VUNA Project in South Africa and Switzerland. Before that, he led the STUN Project in Nepal. Bastian graduated as an environmental engineer from EPFL and is passionate about practical work.

Jacob Tompkins

Jacob has many years experience in the water industry at UK and European level, and has a detailed knowledge of policy and legislation. He founded a water efficiency NGO, and then set up The Water Retail Company, a new licensed water operator. He’s a Visiting Professor at Exeter University and received an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for his contribution to water efficiency.
